When our daughter Freya was diagnosed with cancer, we entered a world no family ever expects to join.
It is a world of hospital rooms, long nights, unimaginable worry and fear — but also one where extraordinary people and organizations show up in ways that truly change lives.
In honor of Freya, we chose to give more than $21,000 thus far to cancer, community and Down syndrome organizations that make a profound difference for families walking through the hardest days of their lives. Supporting them has been one small way to carry Freya’s light forward — and to help ensure that other families feel less alone.
The Organizations We’re Honored to Support
We also want to acknowledge that we could not have made these donations without our incredible community. Your generosity, love, and support gave us the ability to pay it forward in Freya’s honor. We are so grateful to share how your contributions will continue to fuel the missions of these organizations and support families who need them most.
In Freya’s honor, we donated to the following organizations. We’ve written individual posts about each one to share more about how they came to be and how they showed up for Freya.

Carrying Freya’s Legacy Forward
Freya’s life changed us forever. Honoring her by supporting organizations and causes that care for children and families facing cancer feels deeply meaningful.
